VOLUNTEER GRANTS 2021
The Department of Social Services is holding a new round of the Volunteer Grant Program in 2021.
Volunteer Grants support the work of local community organisations by enabling the inclusion of vulnerable people and providing supports to increase participation in volunteering. Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations to support the efforts of Gellibrand’s volunteers.
Expression of interest (EOI) forms can be completed below until 5:00 pm 15 April 2021.
Before submission, you must consider the Grant Guidelines document available online at https://www.communitygrants.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/03_2021/2021-volunteer-grants-grant-opportunity-guidelines.pdf.
In order to apply, your organisation must have a staff made up of at least 40% volunteers; and:
There are numerous eligible projects that your organisation may wish to consider seeking funding for under this Program. Examples include transport costs for volunteers with disability, fuel costs incurred by volunteers, training for volunteers and small portable items that directly benefit volunteers.
How To Apply: Interest organisations must first submit an ‘expression of interest’ form. Following the closure of submissions on April 15, your organisations’ EOI will be assessed. You may then be invited to submit your application online to the Department. Nomination by my office and subsequent invitation to apply for a Volunteer Grant does not guarantee that your application will be successful.
